Ets. A. Boutros and Fils was founded as Ship Agents at Iskenderun in 1880. In 1971, we entered the International Freight Forwarding business and founded a sister firm, Boutros Maritime & Transport S.A.

In 1994 we started extending our activities of full private ship agency services to the Russian Black Sea ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse through our sister firm Boutros Global . We expanded to the Georgian ports of Batumi and Poti and are also present at Supsa Oil Terminal.

We now also cover Syria, Lebanon , Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine.

Our managing directors Messrs Emile and Axel E. Boutros, members of the 4th generation, are perpetuating the family tradition.

Mr Emile E. Boutros is the Honorary Consul of Spain (made Knight in the Order of Isabelle the Catholic by H.M. The King Juan Carlos) and Norway (Officer of the Royal Norwegian Order Of Merit) and a Business graduate from the University of Denver, Colorado. Mr Axel E. Boutros is a Business graduate from Webster American College, Geneva.
